onigiri! [misc]

Two weeks ago I became a very happy owner of THE most important kitchen utensil for a Japanese descendant. And last weekend I made... onigiris!!!
Of course it's not even close to my bachan no onigiri, I still have to develop steam-hot resistant hands (for not screaming like a girl as my palms are burnt by rice), the famous "Triangular Press-and-Roll" technique (for preparing one unit in less than 10 seconds, NOT 2 minutes!) and, obviously, something around 60 years of pure Tender, Love and Care (for indescribable HOLY-MOLY-OMG-DEEZ-IZ-DA-B3ST-0N161R1-EVAARZ taste).

Anyways, I could only really understand what gohan means to me (not the onigiri, just gohan) when I first prepared some here and, with furikake, gave it the first bite. It may sound cheesy, but the moment I felt that taste in my mouth I swear I had a very distinguishable 'home sweet home' feeling, even though being far from what 'home' really means. I hope everyone could feel that sometime in their lives. Awesome stuff.

Waiting Hare [music]

Forgot that now it's only in English. Let's start again:

The day before the day before yesterday, my brother sent me this link, then I found out that Uncle Serj recorded and (on this last March 9th) released a live album (Elect the Dead), on which he performs with Auckland Philharmonia Orchestra. It's awesome. But this post is not about that. Continuing...

Then I found out that Serj has had a lot of participation in other artist's works, one of them being Buckethead.

It turns out that there are some great songs from Buckethead, and the one below is one of them. Besides, I find the lyrics are also... kinda... relatable. Waiting Hare, 7th song from Buckethead's 2005 album 'Enter the Chicken', featuring Shana Halligan and Serj Tankian:

Waiting Hare

I talked to you today,
About all the troubled times,
When nothing goes,
Nothing goes away
And all the things
You've told me to believe in.
I'm alone,
In my reveries.
I'm alone,
In the pain you brought on.
I'm afraid,
That you won't see me
And all the times we've had

I've been waiting here,
Waiting by the phone.
I've been touching you,
In my only thoughts.
Don't you know,
That I'm still here.
Waiting for you to
Call me into your
Life insincere.

Left your stormy days,
Don't you know you're mine?
You see it all behind,
Don't you see the sky?
I want us all together,
Do you know we're right?
You leave us all denied,
Let you all decide.

You call me today,
With your enemies.
You call me today,
With your infinite dreams.
We talked about it,
You're in my mind.
Digging caution,
Leaving you behind.

Left your own today,
Don't you know you're mine?
Left your own behind,
Can't you see the sky?
It's a stormy day,
Don't you understand?
We're in all behind,
Let you all defend.

Ah ah ah ah.
Take compassion,
Leaving you behind.

Left your own today,
Don't you know you're mine?
Left your own behind?
Can't you see the sky?
See them fall behind,
Don't you know you're mine?
Left it all behind,
Can't you do the same?
But can't you do the same?
Left your own behind,
Leave us all behind,
Can't you do the same?

1337 5p34k1n6 [misc]

So, in an unexpected client satisfaction feedback, 33,3% of the readers of this blog asked me (more like and order) to write stuff in English. And because I'm sure that the other 2 readers can understand, I thought 'well... why not, eh?'. He also suggested that I wrote en Français. So I'll stick with English.

Please understand the two reasons that made me decide for this change: (1) I want to help the friends that read this improve their English - and the ones that do not need it, shouldn't care, really... so I promise I'll try to keep as grammatically and as orthographically correct as possible, unless I'm 1337 wr171n6 hsuehaIESHsahe - yes, my funky laugh will stay as Brazilian as possible. And (2) I want to gather readers from all around the globe so I can become internationally influential and be one step closer to World Damnomination.

Oh you think it's gonna get boring to read this with a dictionary by your side? Well sucks to be you!

Nah... really, give me your thoughts. If you think it's gonna work and stuff. Just imagine you telling your noob friends that not only you read such a technologically advanced thing like a blog, you read it in English! Yeah! How cool is that, eh?! ...it isn't.

chuck e a música do universo [series, video]

- Tá me zuando? Não... vou pegar meu iPod.
- Bom! Bom. Eu tenho um pedido muito especial!

ASEUHeiaheaHEIhea.. Detalhe pra piadinha Zune/iPod.

E aí acontece isso:

É muito recomendado.
